Over the last few months, GoAbroad.com has recognized the finalists of the 2012 GoAbroad Innovation Awards, and the team was pleased to present the Awards last Thursday during GoAbroad’s reception at the NAFSA 2012 Annual Conference & Expo in Houston, Texas.
The GoAbroad Innovation Awards reception recognized every organization and institution who was a finalist, as well as revealing who the winners in each category were. Each finalist was evaluated based on the quality of the submission, combined with the originality, creativity, and exceptional ideas expressed in the contribution.
The GoAbroad Innovations Academy was also recognized at the reception, as the Academy was responsible for deciding the winners of the Innovation Awards – excluding the Innovative Student Video and People’s Choice Award categories. This Academy was comprised of a highly selective and small group of esteemed international educators who have had a meaningful impact on the field.
The Innovative Student Video and People’s Choice Awards were selected based on the results of an online poll that ran up until the night before the reception. Over 8,000 votes were collected between these two categories!
GoAbroad is thrilled to again recognize these winners and congratulate them on being selected as the recipients of the 2012 GoAbroad Innovation Awards!
