As part of a continued effort to recognize the hard work and dedication this year’s nominees, GoAbroad will be sharing individual features of the 2012 GoAbroad Innovation Awards finalists over the coming weeks. Rustic Pathways
“It’s Good to Go Sweepstakes”
Rustic Pathways developed the “It’s Good to Go” Sweepstakes” to connect students directly on the Facebook platform. In direct interactions with students around the country while visiting schools in over two dozen states, Rustic Pathways handed out tens of thousands of boarding passes to promote the sweepstakes.
Within the contest, Rustic Pathways is giving away 4 free trips including airfare, with sweepstakes drawings in February, March, April, and May. Students who enter the sweepstakes pick the program they would join if they won, from a pool of 10 trips that were specifically selected to showcase 10 of Rustic Pathway’s most popular countries and show the diversity of the programs offered. And to make the project come full circle, after each winner is drawn, Rustic Pathways makes surprise visits to their home town, notifies each recipient at their school or home, and makes a video of the student finding out that they won.
