In January 2017, as a part of our #intledunited campaign, GoAbroad.com coordinated a fundraiser for a scholarship to support future travel opportunities for young females with the Fund for Education Abroad.
The campaign, which coincided with the Women’s March on Washington, aimed to unite international educators in our vision of equality for all. Our mission read, “As international educators, we value differences of language, thought, and experience. GoAbroad.com supports equality for all people, everywhere, and aims to unite other international education professionals who share our firm belief in inclusivity.”
Throughout the campaign, contributions were made via FundMyTravel towards the scholarship. The result is a total of USD $1,140 that will be distributed by the Fund for Education Abroad for a deserving young woman to study abroad during the 2018-2019 academic year!

The Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) is an established 501(c)(3) organization that provides scholarships and ongoing support to students who are underrepresented among the US study abroad population. FEA makes life-changing, international experiences accessible to all by supporting minority and first generation college students before, during, and after they participate in education abroad programs.
Those who are interested in applying for an FEA scholarship can apply on their website.
We’re elated that the collective efforts of those who contributed to this scholarship will allow a young woman to realize her dream of studying abroad and ultimately start her journey towards global citizenship.
Thank you to everyone who supported, donated, and shared our campaign!
