The support for Ukraine in Poland and throughout Europe is overwhelming.

We are deeply saddened and shocked by the events in Ukraine. War in any form is in direct conflict with our mission of bringing people together across cultures and countries and facilitating finding commonalities and human bonds through cultural immersion.

GoAbroad is dedicated to the people of Ukraine and we stand in solidarity with everyone affected.

[At time of writing] I am currently in Poland with my son volunteering with Ukrainian refugees as they cross the border. I will be sharing resources and opportunities to help directly over the coming days and weeks. The opportunities to volunteer will exist for a long time to come regardless of the immediate events.

Travel is the hope for humanity and the hope to prevent wars. It is through travel that we find empathy and develop bonds across cultures.

“We are communicating with our partners in Ukraine and Eastern Europe to help support them through these challenging times. In addition, we are working diligently to provide resources and information for how you can help either from home, or abroad in border countries such as Poland, Romania, and more,” says GoAbroad COO, Kayla Patterson.
